Today we made a decision to go with Elco Electric outboards; we’ve been looking at other branded products for the past 12-16 months. We narrowed it down to Elco, we have an increase in customers coming in the dealership and asking for Electric Propulsion. Old Salt Marine had to get involved to meet the customer’s needs; we took a look at the 3 branded electric outboards out there. We narrowed it down to Elco. The decision was made quite easily for us once we tested the Elco Electric outboard on our Stump Knocker Boat and Pontoons. It was very smooth in shifting, quiet through the acceleration band, also very smooth at top end speed, without any cavitation, no prop chatter or vibration coming from the power-plant itself.
