1. Hull type:
Please note these motors are designed to replace gas or diesel inboard motors in a displacement type of hull such as a sailboat, trawler or launch where speed is limited to a function of the length of the water line of your boat. 1.3 X the square root of the length at the water line = hull speed. Example for a boat that is 36′ on LWL: 1.3 X 6 ( sq. root of 36 ) = 7.8 knots.
