Amsterdam, Netherlands: June 24-26,2014
Elco will be taking it’s E-Power Electric & E-Power Hybrid Electric systems back on the road for this exciting new show, the Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo, to be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from 24-26 June 2014. Elco has been leading the way in Marine Electric Propulsion for 120 years and we’re excited for our first show solely to showcase the very latest and next-generation electric and hybrid marine propulsion technologies, components and solutions.
A truly global event, with exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo is the only exhibition and conference that will showcase these emerging efficient propulsion technologies and components to a wide audience. Nothing but pure electric propulsion systems, hybrid systems, and of course the components within them will be on display – and the only visitors that will be invited to attend will be those who purchase and specify marine engines and components. In short, every single exhibit will be of relevance to every single visitor, and the only thing visitors will be searching for is cleaner, more efficient propulsion systems.
This is very beneficial for consumers and the marine trade officials alike, to compare and contrast all of the available Electric and Hybrid Propulsion systems. Come and see us in Amsterdam, more information coming soon.

Tour the Peconic Bay on GLORY
GLORY is the perfect cruising vessel for Peconic Bay. It is unique in that it is the only cruise boat in New York that produces zero emissions, is virtually quiet, and leaves nothing that is harmful to the environment. It is New York’s only “Green” Electric-powered harbor tour boat certificated by the United States Coast Guard.
This means that Glory- a reproduction of a 30-foot ELCO- is not only friendly to the environment, it is also subject to annual safety inspections by the United States Coast Guard. When passed, these inspections allow the vessel to carry 14 passengers with the approval of the United States Coast Guard. The Captain holds a 200-ton Master Mariners Merchant Marine License and has been operating vessels for more than 25 years as master. For the past 12 years GLORY has safely carried thousands of passengers in Peconic Bay leaving them all with a greater appreciation of the advantages of electric non-polluting power.
Sailing for 45 minute cruises, from Memorial Day through the end of September, GLORY has a choice of four destinations in Peconic Bay. All the destinations are weather and traffic dependent, and passengers should remember that no one trip is better than another. All the destinations are quite unique and offer the passengers pleasure and enjoyment. Also, despite what some may have heard-as the top speed of GLORY is about six knots-going to Bermuda on the 45 minute cruise is quite out of the question.
